Visitors to Nairobi’s Carnivore restaurant can enjoy an iconic drink concocted of honey, lime, sugar, ice, and vodka. Known as “dawa”, the drink always includes a honey-dipped muddler. These hand carved wild olive wood muddlers can be used for whipping up dawas at home, and the beaded tips pay homage to the drink’s East African origins.
